I recently attended the final Teagasc Options Workshop for the East region in the Navan Teagasc office following invite from Cian Condon Teagasc National Goat Adviser. Workshop Participants sought a presentation regarding accessing finance in the agri sector and details regarding types of finance available, bank requirements for a business proposal and common weaknesses in proposals submitted.

The Teagasc Options Workshop was run over 5 evenings. The Options workshop focuses on providing farmers with new thinking, generate new ideas, and help crate additional income on and off the farm. Further details available at Teagasc.ie
Next round of workshops in commence in September/October 2014 and the venue for the east region will be Naas Co Kildare.
