Asia Matters, with Enterprise Ireland, Bord Bia and Tourism Ireland along with key Irish business organisations, will host the ASEAN Ireland Business Summit in Dublin on 12 July to bring together trade and business experts from both Ireland and ASEAN to educate Irish product and service providers on how to maximize current market opportunities in global supply chain, infrastructure, ICT/telecoms, food, financial services, aviation services, education and tourism, along with practical coalface guidance on market entry, partner and distributor sourcing.
ASEAN with a population of 600 million — the majority of whom are under 35 years in age and a GDP bigger than that of India, consists of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The keynote address will be given by Mr. Brendan Howlin TD, Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform who will outline why ASEAN as a region of strong economic growth, is critically important to Ireland, share insights from his recent visit to Jakarta, Manila and Singapore and describe opportunities to develop two way trade and investment.
