Tell us a little bit about your business what you do, the benefits of your product/service and what makes you unique to the competition.
Established in 1945, Andrew Ingredients is a family owned business that distributes top quality food and bakery ingredients and supplies throughout Ireland. We pride ourselves on having a remarkable product list – probably the most comprehensive in the country. We believe our success is driven by our customers, which is why service excellence is not just our priority, it is our ethos.
What are the stand-out moments or highlights to date?
Over the last 68 years we have had many positive highlights. We have had 3 major relocation’s and expansions. Our most recent move to Lisburn in 2011 doubled our warehouse capacity to 24,000 sq ft and saw us hire 3 new members of staff. Another defining moment for Andrew Ingredients was the expansion of our distribution area in 2008. We now service regular deliveries to customers throughout the whole of Ireland.
If you could share an insight or top tip for SME’s / Emerging Entrepreneurs what would it be?
Know your customers, understand their needs and build your business around consistently meeting and exceeding expectations. This may sound obvious but it is easy to lose focus on the customer when immersed in the day to day running of a business.
