What are the stand-out moments or highlights to date?
2012 was a standout year for Espion having achieved 40 per cent growth. Out team grew from 32 to 51 and the firm continued its overseas expansion opening offices in Brussels to support its Europe-wide success as a leading provider of eDiscovery and digital forensics to international law firms. Espion also elevated its UK presence by adding an additional office to support its ever-increasing UK client portfolio. Espion technology distribution signed a partnership with Motorola Solutions to distribute its wireless network products in Ireland and the UK. It is estimated this deal will generate €1 million worth of sales in 2013.
Innovation has been a critical factor in Espion’s success and its recently launched R&D division will facilitate consultants developing new service innovations as well as extend its service offerings by adding commercial research to its list of expertise. Having a dedicated R&D department has also enabled the firm’s involvement in a number of partnership consortium submissions under the EU FP7 Security and ICT Calls.
Espion also achieved its external audit for QMS 9001 2008 and the Forensic ISO 27001. These standards, which Espion has held for four years, assure our customers that we work to the highest possible levels.
Espion boasts making the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 for six years in a row in recognition for its outstanding technological innovation.
If you could share an insight or top tip for SME’s / Emerging Entrepreneurs what would it be?
Develop strong corporate values and use them to guide you in your everyday business dealings from recruitment through to internal and external conduct as well as relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders. Don’t leave them sitting on your website in the ‘about us’ section.
