Business support; Wayra

From now on, every week we will feature an enterprise support organisation on Smallbusinesscan. There are over 400 of them across the island of Ireland, so we will have a while to go (8 years).

The first one we are featuring is Wayra. It was only launched in Ireland in 2012, but has had a huge impact on start up landscape in Dublin and Ireland. Wayra is an interesting exampe of a combination of an innovation eco-system, entrepreneurship and a top notch accelerator. it combines the best of all worlds. Start up capital (€ 40,000), access to the value chain of Telefonica and increasingly other large corporations, access to a global network, 9 months of quality workspace and, expert mentors and favourable commercial terms with leading technology suppliers including Amazon, Google, Paypal and Microsoft

The best way to illustrate the quality of Wayra is through their stable of start ups.
