Being a parent whilst juggling a business is a hard task, and nobody knows this better than Cathy Owens. Cathy, a mother of three from County Wexford, runs Bumps to Booties, an online business selling unique handmade, eco-friendly and natural baby products. The business was launched in 2008 as a way for Cathy to stay at home with her young children. She has be nominated for The Mumpreneur Awards 2010, open for mums in business from around the UK and Ireland to enter.
The Mumpreneur Conference and Awards is an event which supports and celebrates mums in business. The event will take place on Saturday 18th September 2010 at The Heart of England Conference Centre, Warwickshire, where the winners of 8 categories of The Mumpreneur Awards will be announced. The nominations will be judged by a panel of independent judges including Rachel Elnaugh, Ex-Dragon on the BBC's Dragons Den and Jo Cameron of Women on their Way, who took part in the BBC's Apprentice.
As well as being nominated in the 'Best Online Business' and 'Best Business Support' categories, Cathy is also in with a chance of winning The Inspirational Business Mum Award, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and could walk away with a fantastic range of prizes.
