Replied to the Breaking through a plateau??Thank you guys for taking the time to look at the site and give me a bit of advice. I have spent most of my time and resources building up the content of the site and maintaining it, the marketing aspect has been a bit of an after thought. The demand is certainly there, even based on current activity. Thanks for the great advice!!!

Replied to the Breaking through a plateau??Hi Conor, one of the best ways of attracting more visitors and getting more sign ups is to give people a good reason to visit your site in the form of quality content. Google loves content so the more you have the higher Google will rank your site. A good way of increasing the content on your site is through a blog, sharing your expertise would be a good way of attracting visitors. Another good way of getting more people to come to your site would be through competitions that could tageted at social media. Traditional media is one option for marketing it shouldn't be your sole focus as you mentioned it is expensive and once the ad has ran its course your need to spend more on another whereas if you invest in your content it is there for as long as your website. I would also look at tweaking your websites design and start measuring if the tweaks are working through A/B testing, read up on landing page design best practices (http://econsultancy.com/uk/blog/081-a-10-point-checklist-for-landing-page-design). I hope this helps, if you need any more help just shout. Thanks, Brendan

Replied to the Breaking through a plateau??Hi there, I've looked at your site and I understand what you offer. At this moment in time, what do you think is your % share of the market. Is it 10%, 50%, higher? At this stage it would be good to identify the potential for growth, based on the overall size of the market. Is it OK to start from this point?

Hi Brendan,
Here's a few tips to start you off :)
You can create Pages from your personal account, if you have one but if you are only interested in FB for business then you can create a Page after registering a business account.
Firstly, it may seem an obvious one but when you create a Page fill in all the information including links to your website and any other online company profile: youtube, twitter, yelp, linkedin, etc.
Go through the Edit Page options one-by-one, add admins (always have 2 in-case one is hacked), featured admins, featured likes (when you have liked some pages) and apps that you may need.
Scroll to the end of your wall and Edit Options - to show information from all Pages, not the default which are Pages you usually interacted with (so this also for your profile - and add your business Page to your employment field in your Profile.)
Page profile pics can be 200 x 600, (leave a few pixels for margin). Do it up in photoshop and include contact info - or ask a designer to do it for you, 200x200 of this will be your avatar in newsfeeds.
Attract new fans with a custom/landing and reveal tab with a strong call to action. Create your own or use involver, wildfireapp, etc. (google them)
Link FB to other accounts: twitter, youtube, picassa.
Suggest the page to your friends and ask them to share it for you (always ask people to share and say Thanks in advance!)
Account - Use Facebook as a Page (Pages have their own newsfeed): like and comment on other Pages, especially ones with similar target audience or/and Pages with many fans - be polite don't abuse other Page walls. Be helpful and informative, show the personality behind the company.
"like" Social Media Ireland or similar pages and look up bloggertone to keep up to date in Facebook changes - which are many!
If you're stuck for anything google is great and there are youtube videos for everything, add 2011 in searches so you will get recent information.
Enjoy - if you don't enjoy doing it, find someone who does :)

Looks good Mike, it looks more user friendly.
If you are still looking to improve it this infographic about landing page design might help:

Vincent, you see it all too often that companies are quick to build people a website without actually identifying the business or user goals and tailoring the site to meet them. Later the site owner will realise it isn't working for them and see how they can drive more traffic to it, which is where they try and bolt on SEO. It realy annoys me as the companies who deliver the initial site are not providing value for money, what I would like to see is web professionals delivery guidance and coaching to clients who don't understand what makes a website successful.
What advice would you give to someone who has invested in a site that isn't working for them and they want to increase traffic?
Hi All,
I've posted the above article to give you an idea of the possibilities for your business. There are a number of how to blogs on our website http://www.clipgurus.ie. Please feel free to check them out. If anyone has any queries about how video marketing can work for you and your company please just ask. Would love to get some discussion going here on the topic.
All the best
Helen
Yea Stephanie, it really isn't that hard to do these days and as you say it adds to the companies brand. It would be a bit of a nighmare as well in an organisation with that many people trying to keep track of all the personal emails, I know they will see a lot of benefits from this one change you have helped them implement.
