10.10 – 10.50 Keynote by Jessie Kurtz, Trinity College Library

10.50-11.20 Coffee Break

11.20 – 1.00 pm: Session 1: Libraries, technology and the information landscape

11.20: Bríd McGrath: “Towards an eco-system for development.”

11.50: Sarah Lyons – Novartis: “Benefitting business: Applying the librarian’s skill-set in a digital world.”

12.20: John Howard – UCD: “The Expert Library: Emergent needs in academic and special libraries.”

12.50: Panel Q&A

1.00 – 2.00pm Lunch (provided)

2.00 – 4.00 pm: Session 2: Physical and virtual library spaces

2.00 pm: Orla Nic Aodha – St Patrick’s College: “Grand designs with room to improve: Lessons learned during a building project in St. Patrick’s College Library.”

2.30: David Hughes – DBS: “I am the Virtual Librarian (but you don’t have to be).”

3.00 pm: Mairead Owens – DLR Libraries: “What are the necessary skills for a librarian in 2015?”

3.30: Panel Q&A and wrap up.
