The Waterford Micro Business Network 10 Year Showcase is a celebration and recognition of the success and achievements of the WMBN and their members. On the night, a selection of WMBN members will exhibit their business and refreshments will be provided along with informal networking.
Registration starts at 6.00 pm and speeches will begin at 7.00 whereby the Mayor of Waterford, Cllr John Cummins will be invited to give the opening address along with Ronan Cleary, chairperson for the WMBN, local business woman Nichola Beresford from Muldoon Irish Whiskey Liqueur and the most successful hurling manager of all time, Keynote Speaker, Brian Cody.
Inspiring speakers have been at the heart of each WMBN monthly networking meeting over the past ten years and who could be more awesome than All Ireland Hurling Championship winning manager, Brian Cody. Brian Cody knows what makes a true leader and how to successfully motivate and inspire a team to win again and again. Brian will reveal how he continues to build and manage successful teams under a strong leadership and what keeps him motivated.
The WMBN was established in 2005 by the Department of Social Protection and Waterford Area Partnership to encourage and support people who take the step towards self-employment and to assist people setting up their own business. It is currently one of the largest and long-established micro networks in the country. Members are generally new start-ups and sole traders who are at various stages in their business.
