Degree of unemployment! 1 year, 5 months ago #6318

Are you - or do you know - a third level graduate with an engineering, technology, science, business or professional background? Currently unemployed but keen to develop skills for the future? Interested in creativity, innovation, academia and entrepreneurship? If yes – the enterprise evolution programme could be ideal. We know some of the lads behind this and its a really worthwhile initiative and we'll be plugging the bejaysus out of it for next few weeks. If you know of anyone that might benefits pass this link on....

What a fantastic initiative-have sent the link onto some friends who may be interested and have joined the group as I'd like to be kept informed of progress.

A number of these courses, free training for people who've been signing on for more than 3 months have become available through the Labour Force Activation Fund (LFAF or LAF, not sure). Meath Partnership and Meath VEC are offering a bunch too. Great initiative.

Re: Degree of unemployment! 1 year, 5 months ago #6418

Hi Ciaran, the fund is the Labour Market Activation initiative (LMA) and the Enterprise Evolution Programme (EEP) is funded under this initiative (as are the other approved training schemes). The LMA is designed to upskill and re-train people who are unemployed for 3 months or more. Participants on these couses can retain their social welfare benefits while on the training.

The EEP is specifically designed to up-skill graduates and experienced industry professionals in Enterprise Innovation with a view to generating new innovative business ideas though teams of graduates and industry professionals working together. Check out our SBC group or www.enterpriseevolution.ie
