Tips to help beat the fraudsters
There is an increasing trend in fraudulent attacks on eBankingPlatforms. Here are some tips to help beat the fraudsters, which we would ask you to share with others in your organization, who have access or details of your Business’ Bank details.
- We will never ask for your full PIN & password online: only 3 random digits from each are needed to log in.
- We will never ask for your PIN & password or any smartcard codes over the telephone: beware of imposters.
- We will never ask for smartcard codes to log in: these codes are used to authorise payments.
- We recommend you download Trusteer Rapport – FREE security software.

If you are not an Ulster Bank customer, contact your own bank and ask about the type of security software which your bank recommends. You should also take time to understand what your bank will ask for when logging into their genuine online payment application or attempting to verify your identity.
