This will not require a lot of small changes in your everyday life, which will lead to an increase in your energy and your performance. The important thing is to get enough sleep, because without it, everything else will not help you. Every day, you need to have at least 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep in order to function properly. Not only will this rest your body, but it will rest your mind as well. This, combined with proper physical activity and a well-balanced diet, will certainly give you all the energy you need to go through all other stressful situations in life.
When it comes to your workplace, it is extremely important to organize everything you do, so having a task manager installed on your phone can help you a lot. It will help you distribute your workload, so that you focus on more important tasks. Every mobile phone has at least one in-built task manager, so put it to good use. Use Google Calendar to organize your week, and make notes of all appointments and deadlines, this way, you’ll make sure you don’t forget anything. No matter how hard you work, take a lot of breaks, so you can relax and replenish your batteries; exhausting yourself won’t do you any good.
De-cluttering your workspace is also important – throw away everything that you do not need on your desk, and sort out all the paperwork into piles. This way, you’ll have one that is urgent and that has to be dealt with right away, the second being less important, and the third pile, for the things you’ve finished. The same applies to your computer, where you can delete all the unnecessary icons, making it easier for you to find what you really need. Clear out your inbox, and use a spam filtering tool that will remove all those annoying ads and phishing emails. This can save you a lot of time reading unwanted mail, the time which you can spend to do other, more crucial things.
If you feel you’re stressed because you have too much to do and not enough time, feel free to speak to your boss. It is considered workplace harassment if they are giving you a workload which is simply too much for anyone, so ask for help. Try and reasonably explain that you are feeling overworked, and that the quality of your effort is going to suffer. It would be much better if you had someone to help you. Chances are that you will find an understanding with your bosses, or on the other hand, they might explain to you that this situation is only temporary, so you will have to endure it.
