Back to the ’80s in Harryville
On Monday 10 June, Harryville Branch went ‘Back to the 1980s’ as part of their One Week in June fundraising, in aid of the NI Cancer Fund for Children.
The team all dressed in ’80s gear – neon leg warmers, wristbands, sun visors and sunglasses. Michael McAuley is the only male member of staff so he came in cut off shorts, to show off his lovely legs, which he is going to get waxed on Friday if the team manage to raise £500. Michael also had a lovely umbrella hat, which he wore all day (despite the sunshine).
There was ’80s music going all day and the branch was decorated with balloons, NICFC banners and posters. They have also made up a fireside quiz and a guess the baby competition, which they are selling for £1 each with prizes donated by local business customers.
The team are finishing all this off with their ‘closing coffee morning’ on Friday and have invited all of their customers to join the branch team for refreshments as a thank you for their loyalty over the years, with goodies kindly donated by a local bakery.
Hopefully the great leg waxing on Friday afternoon will round off a successful week!
