There are large inflatable balls that you slide into so they fit above your knees and above your head. Guarded by these inflatables players play soccer with entertaining benefits.

Inflatable pitch
Another attraction is the presence of the 50 by 80 foot inflatable pitch designed in such a way as to help boys and girls play games in a truly unique and fun environment. It is ideal for fun small sided, action packed games. In addition to the pitch, inflatable goals are on offer to enhance the promotion of ball skills.

Inflatable target
The inflatable target provides players with an opportunity to practice their volleys and shoot more accurately and adds an element of fun to shooting. The radar machine measures the power in your strike. The games are bright and impressive.

Why did we start

Brian is currently studying and working in the sports and fitness industry. Sport and leisure is one of the fastest growing industries in Ireland. There is a gap in the market and he identified a niche for their service that is not currently being well served. In the local area there is also a real shortage of activities especially for older children. With our Irish weather it is great that the event can be moved indoors if necessary.

Eva is a qualified primary school teacher and has a keen interest in physical education.

They started ‘Bumper Soccer 4 Fun’ to help to raise the profile of football and compliment the fantastic coaching and games development activities currently ongoing throughout the country. It raises the awareness of the important role that sport play in our local communities. By highlighting the fun aspect of sport it could lead to greater levels of interest. They aim to get more children/adults playing games more of the time. Bumper Soccer 4 Fun promotes fair play, the development of self-esteem, build social cohesion and enhance health and well-being. They strive to make people feel valued regardless of ability. They promote fair play, self-esteem, build social cohesion and enhance health and wellbeing.

Where do we see it going?

Brian and Eva are enthusiastic about their service and they have a clear vision of the development of their business. They want to establish and develop ‘Bumper Soccer 4 Fun’ as a multi-activity based football event’s company in local communities, schools and clubs / organisations.

‘Bumper Soccer 4 Fun’ is using social media to drive traffic to their website which describes their service. Brian and Eva encourage loyalty through promotions. They will market through appropriate events and are accessible on and off line, with the service having a human face, voice and personality.

What we have learned

As we started up our business we learned that there is support systems there to help. We have received fantastic help from the Local Enterprise Board. They offer people the opportunity to partake in various courses and seminars that are really practical and beneficial. It also gives you the chance to network with other small businesses.

Tips for other businesspeople starting out

It took a lot of balls to start ‘Bumper Soccer 4 Fun’!!! Don’t miss your shot.

‘First comes the dream
Then comes the struggle
Then there is victory!

The problem is, most people give up during the struggle…never knowing how close they were to victory. The only way you’ll fail is if you quit.
