This week-long national initiative has been organised by the government to drum up support and interest in all things entrepreneurial. This initiative will be held in five cities (Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Limerick and Galway). The Startup Gathering will feature over 300 events, including a conference on current trends and future insights in business, taking place in Dublin, as well as a smart agri-food business event pencilled in for Cork.

HBAN, the Halo Business Angel Network, is hosting an “Introduction to Business Angel Investing” a series of informal talks taking place across the country for all new and potential Business Angels commencing in Cork on 30th April. The seminars will be short briefings lasting approx 1hr, during which attendees will hear insights from leading Irish business angels on their experiences, the benefits of investing in a syndicate, the risks and rewards of business angel investing and finally they will have the opportunity to network with like minded individuals from the region.
This seminar will be of interest to individuals who are new to business angel investing, as well as those who are already active independent investors and have an interest in finding out more about angel investment and investing as part of a syndicate.

The ManagementWorks Lean Business Programme is already helping dozens of businesses in Ireland to reap the benefits of lean business tools and lean thinking. The programme use a proven combination of training and on-site mentoring to help you and your team members to understand lean, build lean skill sets within your business, and deliver one or more lean improvement projects from start to finish. The Entrepreneur Experience® is a unique opportunity for Emerging Entrepreneurs to gain advice and mentoring from some of Ireland’s most successful business leaders. This 24 hour experience includes networking, workshops and presentations. The fifth Entrepreneur Experience® is taking place on the 27th and 28th March in Ballymaloe, Shanagarry, Co. Cork.
We select 24 Emerging Entrepreneurs to participate in three distinct groups of Start-ups and Entrepreneurs, they are:
- Entrepreneurs with a new idea,
- Entrepreneurs with an investor ready proposition, or
- Entrepreneurs with an established business that is seeking to scale
We invite 24 Seasoned Entrepreneurs, some of Ireland and Europe’s most successful business leaders, to share their experiences and inspiration. Each Seasoned Entrepreneur mentors and coaches an Emerging Entrepreneur over the 24 hours.
