Vanguard Beer Collective

Vanguard Beer Collective applied in early 2014 for a loan. We are glad they did, here’s why:

One stop shop for craft beer

Vanguard Beer Collective is the one stop shop for Irish Craft Beer. It was launched in 2013 in order to address the obstacles preventing craft beer from being more widely available in pubs and restaurants. Born partly out of long standing frustration of the homogeneous, limited selection of beer that nearly every pub in Ireland carried, Vanguard was launched to facilitate a change.

Breweries from all over Ireland

Vanguard brings together craft breweries from all over Ireland. They can now offer the publican or restaurateur access to many different breweries with a single consolidated order; delivery and invoice saving them time and hassle. The Collective manages the installation of taps, distribution of draft and bottled beer, line cleaning, point of sale marketing and promotion, emergency maintenance and payment processing. This allows the breweries to do more of what they do best, brewing great craft beer.

150 accounts

From humble beginnings servicing 2 pubs, they have now expanded to service 13 Irish craft breweries and 2 Irish cideries, servicing over 150 accounts in total.

Shared economy

We think it is brilliant. It allows craft beer brewers to box above their weight and reach economy of scale without having to invest in the assets (a true example of shared economy), for publicans it gives single access to a wider variety of beers, which saves money and enhances their branding.
