Good crisp crusader
The driving force behind the company is Veronica Kenneally – a healthy food lover, mother of three snack-happy kids. She has always been passionate about good, wholesome food. She started wondering why there wasn’t a healthier version of savoury snacks, crisps with all the flavour and taste that she loved, but less of the not-so-healthy stuff? She also wondered why there weren’t more gluten-free crisps, ‘cos surely kids or grown-ups with dietary restrictions deserved to have permission to munch along with the rest of us? And with those revolutionary thoughts in mind, the Good Crisp Crusader (that’s what they call her at home) was born.
The company is growing. Gluten free food is a hotspot (nearly a €30 billion market). It all started with baked crisps Sour cream and onion, BBQ and two Veggie versions, but in 2014 diversified into Crunchy Creatures as well, a dino shaped corn snack- Organic, Gluten Free and great for kids. There’s something about biting the head off a Tyrannosaurus that brings out the kid in everyone! They are in Ireland as well as the UK and plans for further expansion are afoot.
